Father's Day

My parents, Tom and Peg, and the Steve Osborn clan were all in town for Father's Day weekend. For Father's Day we took our dads to the Rangers vs. Astros game. I love going to baseball games, but must admit the free Rangers barbeque apron was a definite perk! We finished Father's Day with a visit to the Goldberg's then dinner at The Carpenter house with my family. Zach enjoyed his first Father's Day and even got a few gifts. I loved celebrating my dad, father in law, PopPop, and the incredible father I know Zach will be.

Barbershoppin'

Zach's grandfather Papa has been a member of the Big D Chorus barbershop singing group for the last 55 years. A group of men from his chorus get together on Friday nights to sing at a restaurant in Plano. My dad is involved with The Singing Plainsmen barbershop group in Lubbock. Dad has wanted to meet and sing with Papa's group since they first met and discovered their mutual love of barbershop singing. Finally, this Friday night we were able to get them together. It was so fun to see them both enjoying singing together. I'm sure Baby G enjoyed the singing as well with his or her new sense of hearing!

Kennedy Turns 1 and Parade of Homes

The day after closing was Kennedy's first birthday party. I am lucky to be able to use our flight benefits, so I didn't have to miss this big day. Krysta had the party set up perfectly and Kennedy was, as always, the star of the show! These precious pics say it all...
Waiting for her first taste of cake.

On the way to her post cake clean up. I had to get a picture of that cute hiney!

The next week was the Parade of Homes. Meg and I road tripped to Lubbock with The Cecil's to spend sometime with my parents and check out this years parade. We had a great time experiencing a 6 hour car ride with a one year old! During our visit we also went to campus to see the new chapel. While there Meg and I took a picture with the giant ring. It was a great trip to hang out and visit.

Closing Day!

Beginning in March of this year Zach and I began a hunt for our first house together. We looked and looked until we found our new place 1311 Comanche. We loved the neighborhood and the potential the house had for our growing family. On June 1st, National Donut Day, we closed on our first home. We knew that first thing we wanted to do was gut the kitchen and open it up to the living room. Thanks to Pinterest I had lots of ideas of how I wanted my dream kitchen to look. Let the renovations begin!
