Memorial Day Weekend 2012

The stars of the weekend, the zebras.
Mom and Meg talking to Baby G'Berg.
Over Memorial Day weekend we went out to my aunt and uncle's house. Friday after my last day of work (yay!) we hit the road. Mark and Gay live outside of Athens on a wildlife preserve called Safari Waters. I loved going on walks every morning and getting to see zebras, axis deer, geese, whitetail deer, and pere david deer. I also loved sitting around and shopping with the girls. Zach, Matthew and Kevin played like little boys at summer camp! Their days were spent fishing, throwing washers, and driving around on the golf carts. Saturday the whole family got to Skype with Max who is currently stationed in Egypt. It was a wonderful weekend to relax, unwind, and enjoy being with the family we are so blessed to have!

Crawl for Cancer

For the past two years we have joined a team for the Uptown Dallas Crawl for Cancer. When we signed up we weren't pregnant. Needless to say I wasn't able to participate as originally planned. However, I'm never one to miss spending a day with good friends, so I tagged along as a cheerleader. Fundraising, it's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!

Team Awesome!

Vision Walk 2012

Every year the Foundation for Fighting Blindness hosts the Vision Walk to raise money. We skipped last year, but chose to walk this year. It was fun to be with everyone,we met our fundraising goal, but most importantly it was a great chance to show Larry how much we care!

Instead of t-shirts I designed tattoos for everyone.

Mother's Day 2012

I was surprised and so excited to be spoiled on Mother's Day. I don't think I realized when I got pregnant that I would be gaining a new holiday! Both my mom and mother-in-law bought me much needed maternity clothes. From Zach I got a new purse and beautiful peonies. What a great day!

Announcing Baby Goldberg

Telling people the news of our pregnancy has been one of the most fun parts. Zach and I have always known we are a great team and an all around fun couple, why do you think we married one another? :) However,  it is very reassuring to have people you care about confirm this by telling you that you will be great parents and share in your excitement. It has made me even more excited about our latest adventure, parenthood!

To tell our parents and some family members we made a video of pictures from our new house, with a surprise picture at the end. It was a hit!

Here are some pictures from the Hall reveal:

And a few from the Goldberg reveal:

Cookie Cake that Amanda ordered.
We made it Facebook official with an adorable picture photographed by Baby G'Berg's future cousin and momma's best friend, Sarah Grant. She did a great job!

Here is another from our "photo shoot" that I loved. Thanks again Sarah!

Baby G'Berg Week 12/13

What an exciting week it's been! On April 26th I was 12 weeks pregnant. The next week, on May 1st, we went for our 12 week appointment. It was so fun to have Zach there and for him to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Later that week we went for a sonogram. I had seen the baby once before, but seeing it with Zach was even more special. I loved that he was finally getting a peek at what's been going on with my body. With our sonogram we got a DVD. Needless to say it's our new favorite movie. Exciting things in baby land: The baby was very active during the second half of the sonogram and is measuring 4 days ahead of the gestational age. Maybe a big baby! The next two days we made it official to the world...but that's another post!
